John Zavalney's Carbon Footprint Workshop
Room B105
John Zavalney introduces what a Carbon Footprint is and how to calculate one. Then he'll explore simple ways to "green up" buildings.
Kids' Workshop
All Day
Workshop focused on finding creative ways to reuse everyday household items. Using recycled items such as toilet paper tubes, plastic bottles, scraps of paper, and other material people would normally throw out, kids construct birdhouses which they can use at their home.

Special Events
Electronic Waste Collection
All day
North side of front parking lot
Bring in old televisions, computers, monitors, PDAs, CD players, copiers, cameras, cellphones, alkaline batteries, and all other electronics! Volunteers will help unload the electronic waste.

Green Giveaway
11:00 am and 4:30 pm
Throughout the day, volunteers will hand out tickets for each event attended. At the specified times, announcers will call out ticket numbers, and people will be given environmentally friendly merchandise such as recyclable notebooks and little trees.
Last Ten at Lunch Roundup
10:00 am, 12:30 am, and 4:00 pm
At the specified times, a group of volunteers from the "Last Ten at Lunch" recycling program will sweep across the festival grounds to collect any recyclables.
All-Around Recycling
All day
At the area on the side of the library wall, will be large bins for recycling paper, plastic, glass, and ink cartridges.
Hot Chocolate Giveaway
Starting from 8:00 am - 9:00 am (or until supplies last)
At the food court, volunteers will be handing out hot chocolate.
