We have plans to patrol the Pasadena New Year's Rose Parade route for recyclables. Our graphics team has also been hard at work creating, among other things, flyers for the Festival:

STEPS Thursday, December 4th, 2008, 7:00 AM

We've changed the look of our website to be shinier and somewhat more organized and focused. The afterschool recycling program here at Gabrielino High School has been set into motion, with the help of volunteers from various clubs: Interact, GEMS, ESC, Key Club, MATS, KA LEI, and FBLA. Finally, the Green Dream has become an official Roots and Shoots organization, making it easier for us to receive grants and other support.

PARTICIPATION FORMS & LIFESTRAW Wednesday, October 21, 2008 8:00 PM

We have a new page for our LifeStraw project, which is still undergoing improvement. We're also creating a project proposal, a plan for the recycling program here at Gabrielino, which will be finished by the end of October.

Organizations which wish to have a booth at the 2009 Festival, or who would like to sponsor us, can download the Booth Registration Sheet and the Sponsorship Registration Form here:

MEDIA PACKET & PEACE DAY Saturday, August 30, 2008 9:00 PM

Ms. Karen Oxrider, the California Regional Director of the Roots and Shoots organization, is lending support to The Green Dream Festival, and we're working to promote the fundraising event on the upcoming UN International Day of Peace. So on September 21st, look for our booth at the Griffith Park celebration, and start bringing your cans and bottles.

Our Mission page has also been updated, and should give everyone a clearer idea on what the event is about. You can download the newest draft of our media packet here:

GROWING Saturday, July 26, 2008 6:59 PM

This site is still under construction, but we will start posting information soon for the 2009 Green Dream Festival, which will take place on January 17th, 2009, from 10 am  to 3 pm.

This year's festival will be centered around a fundraiser for Lifestraw water purifiers. We encourage interested parties to stockpile their empty cans and bottles, because each recyclable will be worth 5¢ towards clean water for citizens of third world countries.

As of now, our team is busy working on our project proposal. Once complete, it will be made available to interested sponsors.

If you or your organization is interested in supporting us, please contact us.
